All private houses are rented on self catering basis inclusive of house cleaning staff and cook, who are available to do shopping and cooking and keep an account of expenditure. Bedding and towels are also provided. Prices are for exclusive use of the houses. Kitchens are fully equipped. Basic cooking ingredients, fresh fruit and a selection of basic vegetables can be bought in local shops. Fresh fish and seafood can be ordered and bought from local fishermen who deliver directly to your door. Certain luxury food items, dairy products and alcoholic drinks or spirits are not available locally, Lamu is accessible by air from Nairobi, Mombasa or Malindi. Private Houses in Lamu are:
