Apendalo House – Lamu Town

Apendalo is a privately-owned house in the Northern part of Lamu town, “Mkomani”, built in 2006/7 overlooking the sea and Manda Island. The house is built using traditional materials, including a “makuti” roof. All furniture in the house is hand-made by local craftsmen. The house is available for rent as a whole, or a part of the house is available as an apartment for 2-3 people on Bed & Breakfast Basis. This option includes a Double bedroom with bathroom, sitting room with traditional day bed, sea facing balcony as well as access to the rooftop terrace. The complete house can be rented on self catering basis with a house keeper for up to 7 people. This includes an entrance room, lounge, 2 double bedrooms , 1 Singe bedroom + a Pili Pili Bed in the sitting room, 3 bathrooms, a fully-equipped kitchen, dining room, two balconies with sea view and a rooftop terrace with a breathtaking 360 degree view.
